For this photographer at least, going on safari in Africa was the fulfillment of a childhood dream. Growing up on a steady diet of ‘Wild Kingdom’, David Attenborough, and the Discovery Channel had made these animals part of my personal iconography, but seeing them for real - not in a zoo or on a big screen - was an unforgettable experience. I took all of these photographs in the Kruger Park region of South Africa.
